Product details
Destination: Through the two offshore islands of San Pietro and Sant Antioco to the west towards the Costaverde, followed by enjoying the charm of the capital Cagliari and the granite southeast of Sardinia, Sarrabus-Gerrei. At the Costaverde, the world seems to be in order: secluded coves, sparkling sand dunes, and a turquoise-green shimmering sea are complemented by tranquil old mountain villages surrounded by wooded hills. Silver, iron, zinc, and copper were once mined here, and today the decommissioned extraction facilities have been repurposed for tourism with their own unique charm. The island's breadbasket is undoubtedly the Campidano, culminating in the capital Cagliari. Especially in spring and autumn, this region blooms in all its glory. Olive groves, eucalyptus forests, and fertile river valleys stand out against the backdrop of the mountains, contrasting with the already harvested, golden-brown fields of grain that were reaped by June. In the small town of San Sperate, you can admire the first murals created in 1968 as a form of protest on the walls of houses. Macchia shrubs and cork oak forests characterize the interior of Sarrabus-Gerrei. Sweet, almost black cherries and the realm of the Sardinian deer allow one to immerse themselves in the island's primal essence.
