Question about Grundig Music 6500

I assume that if you power the radio with USB, then you have to remove the batteries to avoid problems. Unfortunately, there is no such indication in the manual. Is that right?

The batteries must be removed when connecting the radio to the mains.

I don't know about "must", but it works well without batteries via USB. But without batteries and disconnected from the USB, it loses the stored values after some time (this is logical).
