You don't have to worry about graphics cards in general, as long as the mainboard has a PCIe 16x connection, you will get the "most common" graphics cards on it (i.e. NVIDIA and AMD). The only difference is the PCIe generations. Starting with 2.0 (obsolete), 3.0 (the standard a year ago), 4.0 (current standard) and 5.0 (like this board, will soon be the new standard). Since these generations are backwards compatible, your GTX 1070 will also run on the latest board. However, if you had an RTX 3070 and used it on a mainboard with PCIe 2.0, it would work, but with less performance (less bandwidth -> possibly not full performance).
