I use an Alphacool Eisbär Aurora HPE l on the board for my 13700KF. However, I have strapped three Alpenföne wingboost 3 140mm fans on it as the original fans are already extremely loud
Last week I had a similar problem. It took a long time to get the mouse pointer on the screen. Before the problem occurred, I did a BIOS update for the aforementioned mainboard. The solution was that I cleaned up the autostart in Windows.
NVMe runs over PCIe and does not limit the SATA bus in any way. The only limitation on the board is when you install a SATA SSD in the M.2_4 slot - then ONE of the 6 SATA ports is disabled, namely SATA6G_2.
Sure. The second card in the lowest slot simply runs with PCIe3.0x4. But you also have onboard graphics (HDMI+DP) that you can use in parallel with a dedicated graphics card - as long as you install a CPU with iGPU - i.e. not an F model. What are your plans? Connect 8 monitors or separate streaming/encoding? Or what is the point?
The pistachios must have got lost.🧐 Thank you for pointing this out, I will forward the incorrect product image to the relevant department for revision.
Hello, I ordered this mainboard because it said in the specifications that this mainboard already supports the new 13th generation processors. However, the packaging only says that it supports the 12th generation processors. I would like to know if the bios on the mainboard is outdated and I have to update it via Bios Flashback, or if I can use it directly with a 13th generation processor, even though the packaging (and the Asus Web Shop) for my serial number 90MB18M0-M0EAY0 only says that it supports 12th generation processors. I'm quite confused because it says here under the specifications that it supports the 13th generation, which is not the case with almost any other z690, although after a bios flashback they would already support the 13th...
Hello, I have the following problem:
I am trying to install Windows 11 on my Samsung 980 Pro on my ASUS ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming Wifi, but it is not recognised by the Windows installer. I have already invested several hours in fixing the problem. BIOS recognises the m.2 hard drive, also displays it accordingly.
Since I can't update the ME of the mainboard due to my Intel 13700K without working Windows, so that it works in the first slot, I put it in the second slot. Do you have another solution to this problem? I have already gone through the settings in the BIOS several times. Drivers have also been made available on the boot stick, without success. Activated CSM and also made sure that the m.2 is not configured for RAID.
Please help!
Hello all
i have had a gaming pc put together and built. i wanted to optimise my ram a little more and so i switched to xmp1 and saved and restarted. however, the computer somehow won't boot. the screen stays black and the ram control lamp lights up first red and then orange. this happens with both xmp 1 and 2. in the simple and extended bios. does anyone have any experience or have ever had the same thing? below are my installed components.

Thank you in advance

According to QVL, the RAM already fits. First of all: The board can reboot up to 4 times to get used to the new settings. Otherwise, I suggest the following troubleshooting:
- BIOS reset or set to default, then test XMP.
- Update BIOS
- Clear CMOS
- Test only with 1 RAM in A1, or test both RAMs separately.
- Swap RAM in A1 with B1
- Plug RAM into A2 and B2
- After loading XMP settings, lower clock manually (5600 to 5400) or increase CL (if you have 36, e.g. to 38 or 40).
- Increase voltage a little
- Don't use XMP and optimise clock and timings manually
- Get other RAM / live with it
- In general, test the RAM individually (without XMP) with Memtest86+. Then you can be sure that board/CPU(MemController)/RAM are 100% OK.
That's all I can think of right now. I would run through it in the following order.
I have already installed the board several times and have had no problems so far, neither with Corsair nor Kingston RAM.
Good luck.
