The Simatic RF615A is an especially compact UHF antenna designed for metallic environments with linear polarization, suitable for installation in confined spaces. Its very compact design allows for installation on assembly lines and robots. The antenna reliably reduces the effects of reflections in metallic environments and overreach due to its linear polarization and high signal attenuation. It can be mounted on both metallic and non-metallic surfaces. The read/write range is up to 1.3 m, depending on the environment and the transponder used. It features a high degree of protection (IP67) and an extended temperature range for use in harsh industrial environments.
