Shanling SM90

The Shanling SM90 is a compact streamer-DAC designed for high-quality stereo setups. It combines modern networking features with a clear audiophile focus. The precisely crafted aluminum housing with a glass front, 4.96-inch 1080p touchscreen, and compact dimensions of 28 x 23 x 8.5 centimeters integrates elegantly into sophisticated systems. The touchscreen provides direct and convenient access to streaming services, local music libraries, and external sources. At the heart of the device is a dual AKM DAC architecture based on AK4493S converters, paired with an OPA1612 output stage. This is supported by precise 45.1584 and 49.152 MHz clock oscillators, as well as Shanling's AGLO technology for bit-perfect signal processing under the closed Android 12 system. As a result, the SM90 processes high-resolution formats up to 32-bit/768 kHz PCM and DSD512 with fine detail and impressive authority. Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect, AirPlay 2, DLNA, NAS playback, 64 GB of internal storage, USB storage playback, and an integrated SSD slot provide maximum flexibility. WiFi 6, Gigabit LAN, and Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC, AAC, and SBC ensure modern connectivity. With its coaxial, optical, and USB digital interfaces, balanced XLR, and RCA outputs, as well as an HDMI-ARC interface, the SM90 serves as a central hub between the network, TV, and HiFi system. The closed Android platform offers selected streaming apps directly on the device, combining high operating speed with a system architecture tailored for HiFi applications. Additionally, the HDMI-ARC function, integrated for the first time in a Shanling streamer, expands the usage beyond classic music playback, making the SM90 a compelling solution for living room systems as well.
