Product details

A very light guitar that is responsive and great for the lead acoustic player. The Tradition Canadian (CDN) guitar came to life during the search for domestic woods for the instrument’s back and sides. On one of Mike Miltimore’s hunts for unique woods, Sitka spruce was suggested as great material for the back and sides, and he decided to try it out. Custom-milled for the Riversong Trad CDN guitar, the wood turned out to be very dynamic with an impulsive bottom end. After many experiments, character grade Adirondack spruce was chosen for the top. The character grade shows off Mother Nature’s art, and each guitar top is unique and hand-selected. The black walnut fretboard and mini maple leaves finish off this understated beauty. Vintage Guitar Magazine called the Tradition Canadian guitar the “Steel Flamenco”; in the shop, we call it the Sprutar.
