purchased this productYou can buy the device, but you should have some basic IT knowledge. You should spend some time on the initial configuration, but you will get great results.
Solid multifunctional center for our needs. Three people use it.
The menus are sluggish across the board; not for hectic people.
The device is very heavy and should be carried by 2 people.
Very fiddly driver installation incl. error messages and non-functioning scanner.
No problem with Windows 10's automatic installation, but the optimal printer driver (PS) is missing.
It can be done, but why is it so complicated?
Why the lowest DPI setting has been preselected is also not clear to me, I found the result poor. A change to 300 DPI brought visible improvement and can be considered a good result.
Why OCR is not selected by default... I will stop asking questions now.
These experiences play into the usability rating, which I would consider below average.
One point deduction for the sluggish speed menus.

- OCR (text recognition) works very well; even with rather poor originals
- Seems smaller than stated in the masses. We had expected a larger device.
Contra
- Speed of the touch menu
- Speed of the web interface
- preset values like DPI 200 during scanning lead to poor results
- awkward user handling and setting up scan destination on the network
- Original toner relatively expensive considering the special offer price of 249 CHF for the entire device including toner
- 250 sheet paper cassette

Be careful with this printer: The printer was little used privately and the scanner even less and has after 32, so 8 months after the warranty, the error 062-380 displayed, so error in the scanner! This problem apparently occurs quite often and gladly shortly after the warranty!
The official Xerox support makes an estimate for on-site repair of CHF 400.- to 500.- on the phone, without asking what is defective: "is a flat rate". Current new price at Digitec: 313.- ...
These conditions are probably the same for every printer nowadays.Pro

purchased this productThe part has a manufacturing defect!
Be careful with the device, even if it is not used much, it will "destroy" itself. From one day to the next, you will simply have error code 062-380 on the display. From then on you can only use the printer, everything else is dead, even USB (inserted USB sticks are no longer recognised). If you google it, you will find a lot of people who have the same problem, but there is no solution for the problem... unless you send the device back for repair. And there you have to be careful... Digitec will only take the device back if it is in its original packaging. So be sure to keep the packaging, otherwise you'll have the same problem as me, that the warranty is still valid, but Digitec still won't take it.
