Been working with Synology for years and chose it because of the Microsoft Office 365 backup option.
Additionally with this RAM https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/crucial-ct16g4sfd8266-1x-16gb-ddr4-2666-so-dimm-260-pin-ram-10144069 this monster now runs on 20 GB RAMPro

Super NAS with very easy operation. The migration from my old DS412+ went smoothly in about 10 minutes.
Synology DSM is a very good and simple NAS OS.
I mainly use the Plex Media Server to stream movies. No problems with high resolution and high bitrate movies (4k not tested yet).
Also great is the Synology Drive for backups from multiple devices even outside the home network. This way I can back up folders from our studio PC and prevent data loss. If the studio burns down, all important data is on my NAS.
I have equipped the NAS with WD RED hard drives and have not had a hard drive failure since I bought the first NAS in 2012.Pro
