Excellent work in revamping the 1st Gen (WF-1000X)

First of all, I've got these elsewhere but I may hopefully persuade you into purchasing this amazing product. I'm coming from the WH-1000x2 and WF-1000x.

I love, love and looooove these earphones!! If you compare this masterpiece
of engineering to the previous model (WF-1000x) you will get to know that these are beyond greatness. The WF-1000x are basically toys...

I can assure you that, this time around, the NC on these are stunning in conjunction with the passive sound isolation these provide. When I put these on for the first time, I was shocked how much noise they were able to cancel. After that, I downloaded the app and noticed that NC wasn't even turned on...My head got turned upside-down when the revamped NC kicked in. Really, really amazing. Also worth mentioning are the Ambient Sound modes which, in my point of view, got even better.

The sound quality is top-notch and they fit well into my ear canals. The life span is astonishing and the case feels and looks even good!

Sony has played their cards right this time. I'm sure that these are going to sell like freshly baked breads in a local market.

And no, Sony didn't pay me to write this review as there are two downsides I'd like to mention:

I'm quite sure that you heard about the absence of liquid resistance. It's not a big deal for me, but alas, for gym fellas, you should go off and buy something else.
Also there is no way of controlling the volume? Even in the app there is no remapping in regards of volume control for some reason. By all means: why? But oh well.

In conclusion, if you consider to carry a pocket-size, well thought-out and meticulous pair of earphones, then go for it. However if you like to have some extra bass, there is nothing wrong in choosing the older brother.

    Pro

    • Startling NC! Veeeeeery adjacent to the bigger brother
    • Astounding sound quality (granted for their size)
    • Comfortable (a big variety of ear tips included)
    • USB-C !!!! hell yeah
    • Battery life (both earphones with NC on and the case per se)
    • Lag-free and no interruptions (BT 5.0)
    • Sony really listened this time

    Contra

    • Not resistent against liquid subjects
    • No volume control directly

    Clear buy recommendation

I was a little sceptical at first, because the first generation ended up in the bin again very quickly.

The new ones are worlds better.
    + good shielding
    + good endurance
    + good sound
    +/- probably USB-C but no Q-charching
    +/-
NC from the Q30 from Bose is better

    - Very large charging cradle compared to the Airpods or similar.
