Hi Youyi, I'm using the DS224+ with Western Digital drives without a problem. You can use any standard drive you want, but it's recommended to stick with drives designed for usage in NAS applications (like the WD Red Plus). Good luck!
you can actually find everything here: https://www.synology.com/de-de/dsm/feature/mailplus but I don't know if you are looking for a third-party product or if the Synology solution is what you need?
Hello, I would think that this is a question for Digitec's Marketing. My speculation is that they charge for the installation of the discs. If you do it yourself, it's cheaper...
What concerns do you have?
No. Only future models.
I don't know what you call a UNIFI environment, but I have UNIFI repeaters and they work perfectly with my DS224+.
Sorry, yes, 4 + 4TB, I mistyped, lg

Two LAN ports provide more flexibility and bandwidth through link aggregation, which increases the overall speed when both ports are used. While a single port might suffice, the extra capacity is especially useful when multiple devices are accessing the NAS simultaneously or when a redundant connection is desired to increase availability.
Automatically generated from the .You can connect an external hard drive to the USB port and access it via the network, you can also connect a WLAN dongle via USB. But first check compatibility at https://www.synology.com/de-de/compatibility
It's sold without a disk. It works really well for a NAS of this range. After that, my disks don't feel all there is, but the RAM is sufficient for classic storage and management.
Thanks for the tip, I have just reported the error. 2GB RAM is fixed, but can be optionally expanded to 6 GB.

The Synology DS224+ with 2 x 4 TB WD Red Plus NAS is sufficient for streaming wired films in 2160p (4K) in the home network. Here are some reasons why it is suitable for this purpose: - Performance: the DS224+ has powerful hardware that enables simultaneous streaming of multiple 4K files. - Network connectivity: The NAS supports Gigabit Ethernet, which ensures a stable and fast connection for streaming high-resolution videos. - Storage: The 2 x 4 TB hard drives provide ample storage space for an extensive media collection. - Software: Synology's DiskStation Manager (DSM) offers a user-friendly interface and various media server apps that make streaming content easy.

The Synology DS224+ has two drivebays that support 3.5" SATA hard drives as well as 2.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs. However, there are no specific SSD slots, as the two drive bays can be used flexibly for different types of storage media.

A delivery date was probably not met by the supplier. It is best to contact our customer service directly in this regard https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc/de/requests/new. Your enquiry can then be checked individually.
Hello, it's ideal for this. It always depends on the amount of photos and videos you want to store, then you should buy the hard drive. Synology also offers remote access with Quickconnect.
The item was returned 6 months ago without giving a reason. However, the item was technically checked for functionality after it was returned.
... also WD80EFZZ in my case... (WD80EFZZ-68BTXN0 to be exact)
These are different suppliers who offer different conditions. Sets may therefore be more expensive than the individual product.
Everything works perfectly, very good performance with fast response times.
the internet must be connected to the Nas via cable. It doesn't matter whether the internet comes via wifi up to that point. The speed is then lower.
