Sony ADP-MAA adapter shoe
Flash unit adapter
Yes, this is the adapter
I am using a metz 44 AF-4M on a Sony a7 III. The flash is meant for a Minolta. There the connection is different/the "claws" are reversed. The flash fires. I cannot yet say whether it is also controlled by the camera.
Yes. Whether it is worth using such an old flash on a new camera remains to be seen. It was built during the transition to digital photography. Alternative: Godox TT350S Mini Thinklite (clip-on flash, Godox) Guide number 36 works great with the new Sonys.
No. The Godox V1S can be mounted directly on the Alpha 7II. No adapter is necessary. This adapter is for flash units with the old Minolta hot shoe.
No, that is not possible. This adapter is designed to use flash units with the old Minolta hot shoe on the newer Sony cameras with Multi Interface shoe. Olympus flash units are generally not compatible with Sony cameras. I recommend the Godox V1 in the Sony version for the A7RIV.
