Question about Sony ADP-MAA adapter shoe

Is the adapter suitable for the Sony A7iv and a Fuji flash ef-x20? Or is there another solution for this combination?

I am using a metz 44 AF-4M on a Sony a7 III.
The flash is meant for a Minolta.
There the connection is different/the "claws" are reversed.
The flash fires. I cannot yet say whether it is also controlled by the camera.
