Hello DumSpiroSpero Experience has shown that the Arcana is very difficult. This means that if an HDMI handshake is not running correctly somewhere or the cable / system does not provide sufficient bandwidth, then there are unexpected faults (sound only after restarting the systems several times / flickering or no picture / sound at all). I recommend that you ask this question in the Discord so that you can get feedback directly from the support team before you spend the money on Arcana / adapters. You can find the Discord link below: https://hdfury.com/support/ PS: I myself also needed support for a relatively simple setup (Sonos / projector), which also worked inadequately due to the cables used.

I think it's sold under the Purelink brand here in Switzerland. It looks identical to the HDFury product. I bought this Purelink Arcana last week to use with my Sonos Arc on my LG 75" TV which does not have eARC, and it works perfectly with AppleTV to send Dolby Atmos to the Sonos.

Hi, just so I understand correctly, currently the PS4 is running through the TV to AppleTV so that the sound from the Samsung TV and PS4 is streamed to AppleTV. Now it's about the PS4 which is to be connected via a projector but the sound is routed to the AppleTV. What I don't quite understand is that the sound from the TV no longer goes through the Apple TV? You don't have two HDMI connections on the Apple TV. My setup was (is no longer because new TV with eArc). AppleTV 4k -> Arcana Box -> Sound to Sonos Soundbar -> Picture to TV. Since the new TV now has eArc, everything now goes directly via the TV. I think it should work with your setup, as long as you take the HDMI connections into account. If you are interested, I still have the Arcana Box for sale.

If Apple TV outputs the signal in Dolby Vision, this corresponds to a 12-bit colour depth. This adapter only supports 10-bit colour depth at 4K. It should be possible to set Apple TV to HDR10.

You connect your TV and your source (e.g. AppleTV with eArc) to the Arcana, then you have an HDMI with eARC output, which you can use for the soundbar (no picture is transmitted here). This way you can use the eARC stream of your source if your TV does not have an eARC output. With the Arcana, however, you can only connect one source and not several (e.g. Playstation and AppleTV). For this you need an HDMI switch. In my setup, I have connected an AppleTV4k, the Sonos ARC and a beamer. The beamer offers neither ARC nor eARC and therefore has to extract the eArc stream using Arcana. This device is responsible for that. The manufacturer's website shows how the whole setup can/could look. https://www.hdfury.de/produkte/hdfury-arcana/
