Yup, the external power supply makes it possible without any problems.
It may well be, I have attached the following devices: 3 printers, 1 scanner everything runs without problems.
Some of the devices connected to the Icy Box have their own power source (four disks) and some don't (San Disk Units) or memory sticks. This may not be sufficient to answer the person's situation.
No, unfortunately this is not possible because the device requires more power than a USB port can supply.
Unfortunately I can't answer your question because I only have printers, external storage connected myself. Maybe Digitec can answer your question by phone.
No, I don't think so. With Apple products, there are sometimes problems because they often only charge properly with an Apple charging adapter. Apple somehow checks where the power comes from :-)
You can buy an usb extension here
I don't know: after a short time, the device functioned in an extremely limited way - at last only on individual ports. It is hardly usable....
Try the exclusion method: 1. Attach another USB device such as a stick, hard drive, mobile phone, etc. to the same PC and see if these devices are recognised and if a data transfer or charging process works. 2. Plug the hub into another PC or laptop and see if it works there. 3. replace the USB cable and the power cable with another one, if available.
Hello, unfortunately I have no idea. What might help is the fact that it recently gave up the ghost, i.e. it was no longer recognised. Otherwise it is active and worked reliably until then. Unfortunately, I have never been able to try it with a black box.
Hi, yes it does, it comes with external power supply, and the usb ports are on if you connect a usb stick and it has no switch, well, I'm happy, usb 3 and so far it works, thanks.
Mine was about 1.20m
No, a USB hub is meant for data and not for charging many power-hungry devices. But you are also looking in the wrong product category. Just look at the USB chargers. They are designed for that and there are models with >5 USB ports https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/producttype/usb-ladegeraet-463?pdo=1221-15988%3A584404%7C1221-15988%3A584400%7C1221-15988%3A584402&tagIds=77-100
