Our Philips monitor is even older and works ideally with this cable with the MBP 2020.
Ciao. You will get a picture. But charging will not work because, as far as I know, DisplayPort has no lines for powering a device. If your AOC monitor has an input in USB-C format in addition to the USB 3.2 port mentioned (which is probably in USB-A format), then you should simply use a corresponding USB-C to USB-C cable. For example, https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/satechi-usb4-c-usb-c-080-m-usb-40-usb-kabel-20839089. But it probably doesn't have this and that's why you're asking this question. In that case, I recommend taking a look at the monitor manual to see what this USB port can be used for. It is probably intended more for smartphones and other smaller devices such as hard drives.
At least for me, my LG 4k monitor works at 60Hz @ 2160p directly connected.
Hello, Displayport only transmits picture & audio.
Yes, it works. I have the same setting Surface Dock 2 and 2 x 4k monitors
The cable can be used to connect a laptop and a monitor (DP 1.2). The operating systems required are: Windows 11, Windows 10, macOS X, Android, Chrome OS Google with the latest updates.
Hello, No this cable only supports 60hz.
Not at 4K. But below that. Which resolution which CPU ?
DP supports 4K, and the USB-C port is fast enough
Probably not, there is not enough power for that.
Yes, that should work. 3840x2160x60 ~ 451 m. 1920x1080x165 ~ 342 m. So the bandwidth is below the maximum, with 24 bit colours.
According to the information provided by the manufacturer, yes.
Hello, Yes, your laptop is compatible with the adapter and everything should work without any problem. Best regards i-tec Team
Hello, We have not tested this setup, so I cannot give you a definite answer. Theoretically it should work, but please don't because of the limitation of USB-C technology it would be possible to use only 2 FullHD monitors (1920 x 1080) with a frequency of 60 Hz. Monitors with higher resolution or frequency will definitely not work. I use this cable with a MacBook Pro 2018 and achieve 144Hz without any problems. However, you may need a dedicated graphics card, especially if the monitor has 1440p resolution.
