I was wondering the same thing... First show that it will be delivered directly so that everyone orders it and then it is shown as unknown. Extremely annoying and disappointing. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that something like this has been displayed.

Laws in Switzerland: https://uavcoach.com/drone-laws-in-switzerland/ More specifically, this part : In the line of sight, the pilot may use FPV goggles or similar tools, provided that a second visual observer monitors the flight and, if necessary, can intervene at any time to control the aircraft. So if you are using the drone with FPV goggles (the goggles that are included in this article), they must have a second visual observer who will monitor the drone. This safety measure is necessary because people using FPV goggles do not have a full view of the drone's position. If they use the drone without the goggles, they can use it without the extra person.

Has anyone already received the drone?

Yes, drones have already been delivered by Digitec. The product is also already being diligently evaluated by customers. However, a lot of orders are still open and will be delivered gradually as soon as Digitec receives new goods. Deliveries will be made in the order in which the orders were received. How long this will take is still up in the air. Since DJI had to limit the order quantity per customer in their own shop 10 days after the release date, one can assume that it will take weeks or even months until Digitec delivers. Unfortunately, Digitec does not consider it necessary to inform its customers transparently about this.

The drone weighs 795g and therefore falls into the category A1 <900g. This means that registration as a pilot, as well as online training and testing, is mandatory. But note that at the moment the old laws still apply, as the resources are still missing for the new law to come into force. All information about the new law can be found here: https://www.bazl.admin.ch/dam/bazl/de/dokumente/Gut_zu_wissen/Drohnen_und_Flugmodelle/faq_neue_drohnenregulierung_2020.pdf.download.pdf/FAQ%20neue%20Drohnenregulierung%202020.pdf

not experienced this incident. I assume that the quality of the signal is good in your case and that you're not separated by 13 reinforced concrete walls, which I think would make a difference. Try updating the drone and the RC otherwise --> google to see if anyone is in the same situation. Good luck

Does the DJI have obstacle detection?

Hello Gardenzwerg, So YES it has front and bottom sensors, however you are never safe from the sensors detecting a branch a little too late, normal in fact. But the proximity info you have in the helmet via these sensors and the anti-collision systems work pretty well in normal use :)

Nothing until 31.12.2023. Because until then you can fly them in the open cat. within the framework of A1/A3 competence certificate. A CE is available, but no C-classification. Maybe this will be classified later. You should not forget to put your UAS operator ID on the drone. on the drone. Then no Poli should be allowed to complain. From 1.1.24, if it has not received a C-class, you can also fly it, simply according to A3 with 150m distance to buildings, houses and uninvolved persons. I.e. somewhere in the club as a sport drone or where rabbits say good night to each other ... where it can be assumed that probably no uninvolved persons, ... will be flown over. It's really fun and fast, but loud. Personally, I would wait with the purchase, namely aim for drones that have received a C-classification. E.g. DJI Mavic 3 Pro. For these, however, the software update is available in Switzerland, but the C-classification upgrade option is not yet offered!

Hello Ronan, the DJI FPV is currently not CE certified, if this is retrofitted, it may be that the drone will slip into class A1/C1. In principle, when flying FPV, a second person must be present to monitor the surroundings. The maximum permitted altitude is 120m, which is rather high for FPV flying.

FOCA > Which class (C1/A1 or A2?) for DJI FPV in 2023? New drone regulation: Light is easy - 23.12.2022 In addition to various regulatory relief, drones under 250 grams have one advantage above all: they are future-proof. What will happen to the heavier models from 2024 is not yet clear. As of 1 January 2023, the EU regulation of so-called UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) will also apply in Switzerland. This will change a number of regulations that govern the operation of drones outdoors. The regulation is not relevant for indoor flights. I will not go into the regulations in detail in this article. You can find the necessary information on the drone pages of the Federal Office of Civil Aviation FOCA as well as in the online training course, which is mandatory for all pilots of drones weighing 250 grams or more. It tells you everything you need to know. And that brings me to the topic at hand. Namely, it makes a big difference in terms of regulation whether you buy and fly a drone weighing up to 250 grams or a heavier device. Registration obligation > In most cases, you have to register as a pilot even with a light drone. Exceptions are those under 250 grams, which have neither a camera nor a microphone. In legal jargon: aircraft that do not have "sensors for recording personal data". Drones like this one, for example. safe for the future Finally, there is another difference: drones weighing less than 250 grams are guaranteed to be flown without strict restrictions even after 2024. This is not certain for the heavier drones. The reason for this lies in the class markings. In future, drones that are newly launched on the market will be given a class. This in turn determines the operating class, which regulates the safety distances you have to keep from uninvolved persons. C0: up to 250 grams -> operating class A1 C1: 251 to 899 grams -> operating class A1 C2: 900 to 3999 grams -> operating class A2 C3 and C4: 4-25 kilograms -> operating class A3 Slide from the online training: An overview of the operating classes. https://www.digitec.ch/de/page/neue-drohnenregulierung-leicht-ist-einfach-25947

There will be the Euro plug cable known for Europe. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurostecker - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Digitec (or any other Swiss retailer) is obliged to supply electrical appliances with a Swiss plug. If the appliance is supplied with a foreign plug, a suitable replacement cable should be supplied if the mains cable is pluggable or, alternatively, a suitable adapter if the mains cable is permanently connected. If the appliance is delivered without a suitable plug, complain to the customer service and insist on a cable or an adapter, free of charge. This is a restriction by law because visual flight (i.e. you look at the drone while flying it) is by definition not possible if you are wearing FPV goggles.

I have no experience myself. But when I read your question, it immediately occurred to me that there had been such a question or comment here on the same product a few days ago. Here is the link: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/questionandanswer/hi-ich-bin-14-jahre-alt-und-habe-mir-die-dji-fpv-combo-gekauft-und-ich-bereue-es-weil-ich-ein-paar-m-471679?producttypeid=1922 There it is said that this is not the most suitable set for beginners. And at the following link I see that an app that is probably important for beginners is currently only available for iOS: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/questionandanswer/der-mist-am-ganzen-ist-dass-als-fpv-anfaenger-wie-ich-die-dj-virtual-flight-app-momentan-nur-fuer-io-373238?producttypeid=1922 I hope that helps you a bit! Either way, have fun with whatever model you choose.

Hi You will have to wait until DJI adapts the app for the new software. This can happen with Samsung devices. Next time I would recommend you to wait 1-2 weeks before downloading the new software. But I can also understand if you always want to have all the new functions etc.:)
