Yep, that's exactly what happened to me.
USB-C to 2 times DP works. However, you can't charge via the same cable and it's not quite as sexy as the daisy chain.
No, unfortunately that is not possible. The so-called daisy chain solution only works with DisplayPort 1.2 or higher with support for multi-stream transport. Instead of two screens, I would recommend a 4K UHD display in 32 inches. These offer a high resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and are much less wide than 2 x 27 inches with 2560 x 1440 pixels. This is more ergonomic than two screens and also requires less power. You also gain more display area in height and have to scroll less.
The model would be well suited for this, for example:
LG 32BN67U-B (3840 x 2160 Pixels, 32 ")
Works. However, it is possible that the full resolution is not achieved. This was the case for me with Thinkpad X1. With usb-c on 2 times PD I achieve full resolution on both monitors.
Yes this works, although, please be aware that 1920 x 1080 pixels will not provide you with a very good readability of text on a 24 inch screen. This resultion should not be used on anything beyond 20 inch.
I would recommend you therefore to pay a bit more and buy a 24 inch screen with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution instead, it can also be rotated and text readabiliy would me much better, especially for smaller fonts. The scaling can be set in Windows or Mac OS, so that you will not have any issues reading text at all. If you set the scaling e.g. to 150%, you would have a 1920 x 1080 scaled resolution but with excellent text readability because there are a lot more pixels provided for the text rendering (no jagged edges around text).

Hello Crufener
This is exactly the arrangement I use with these screens. It works perfectly.
Laptop is charged via the screen and I have all USB devices connected to the monitors as well. So no need for a docking station anymore.
So connecting the laptop with USB-C to the screen and linking the two screens with Display Port is possible.
The monitor can charge laptops with a maximum of 65W (according to a StackExchange post with a maximum of 20V and 3.25A). The error message sounds like your laptop needs more volts to charge?
Under scope of delivery it says: Display port cable, USB C cable.
A CH appliance cable (plug type input: T12; plug type output: C13) is also included.
All black. (HDMI cable is NOT included)
This means that the monitor can be connected to Macs/PCs immediately.
The PC sets itself to the maximum monitor resolution. Almost nothing can be adjusted on the monitor. Check the display settings on the PC. In the normal case, the PC should also display the type of the second monitor.
Good luck.
Hoi Louis, I set up this screen yesterday in my home office. I use it together with a 27 inch Dell monitor. My business notebook only has one HDMI port and one USB C port. So I was able to connect the 27 inch monitor via HDMI and this one via USB C. Everything worked! I could imagine that it would also work with the monitor you mentioned. Kind regards Pascal
