Yes, compatible, but with a magnification factor of 1.6 since the Canon 80D has an APS-C sensor. So it gives a 160-640mm which is quite interesting. I use it with a 70D, among others. Very good images and stabilisation. The lens hood is included.

In the case of the reconditioned product, the packaging has been opened and the camera has probably been tested out. However, there are no scratches on the optics.

Why should the AF not work? Of course the AF works on every Canon EF camera.

You do realise that in terms of light, the aperture is only part of the story. A fixed focal length of 400mm brings you a maximum of one or two apertures (4.0 or 2.8). But then we are also talking about three, four or five times the price! In addition, the range of sharpness becomes smaller (this may or may not be desirable). In the lower range (100-200mm) there are of course affordable alternatives, but then you lack the focal length.
If you reach the limit with the aperture, you simply have to lower the shutter speed or raise the ISO... It's very simple.

The camera can cope with the lens, I have used it on a Canon EOS 77D (almost equivalent to an 800D) and EOS R.
But on the 800D with APS-C sensor, the focal length is 160-640mm.

I would suggest that you place the order now and choose "prepayment" as the payment option. This way you are guaranteed a lens at this price and can pay for it on 31.08.2019.

Yes, the products are compatible with each other. However, the autofocus cannot use the native optical AF viewfinder in this combination with the extender.

I assume the quantity is lower. The question is rather whether "grey" or optics imported via Canon. The difference lies mainly in the length of the warranty...
