PRS S2 10th Anniversary McCarty 594

The S2 series began in 2013 to offer players the fit, feel, and attention to detail of PRS craftsmanship in a fresh, straightforward design. Since its launch, the series has grown from three models to more than a dozen options for players—one of the latest introductions is the S2 McCarty 594. The 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 has been specifically named to celebrate the milestone of the series and to deliver more tone, more beauty, and more value than ever before. The 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 builds on the original specifications of the S2 McCarty 594, retaining a maple top, a mahogany back, a scale length of 24.594 inches, a 22-fret Pattern Vintage neck, a two-piece PRS bridge, and vintage tuners. Special features include a neck made of Cuban mahogany, pearloid bird inlays, and—most notably—USA-made PRS 58/15 LT pickups and electronics. PRS 58/15 LT ("Low Turn") pickups are vintage-inspired pickups with exceptional clarity. Designed to capture the sweetness of vintage single coils and the warmth of late 1950s humbuckers, and finely tuned with the PRS TCI process, these pickups are vibrant and open with focused mids and balanced highs and lows. A total of 1,000 S2 McCarty 594 Limited Edition instruments will be produced for the 10th anniversary. The S2 series stands for "Stevensville 2" and was named after a second production line created in the PRS shop in Stevensville, Maryland, which combined new manufacturing techniques with practiced quality control and craftsmanship to produce instruments at a new price point for players. Over the past ten years, the S2 series has evolved into a stronger integration into a single production line with PRS Core and Bolt-On instruments.
