The Modal Electronics Argon8X is a powerful 8-voice wavetable synthesizer with advanced sound design features. Its DNA and traditions largely trace back to the renowned Modal 002 model. The Argon8X is housed in a robust steel and aluminum chassis, and its oscillator section includes 120 carefully selected wavetable sources that enable the most demanding sound shaping possibilities through 28 different wavetable processors. It features a massive modulation matrix (12x52), three envelope generators, an arpeggiator, and a full-sized 61-key FATAR keyboard. The sound range spans from virtual analog classics to impressive EDM beats. Additionally, the Argon8X has a USB-MIDI connection that meets class standards, allowing for use in an integrated system. A free ModalApp software editor is available for macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android, as well as for VST3 and AU plugin DAW applications.
