The Meinl Tingsha is a classic hand cymbal, handcrafted in India. During meditation, they are struck at regular intervals to maintain concentration. They are also used for Feng Shui, cleansing, healing, and harmonizing. The uniqueness of this instrument lies in the distance between the two bowls. This interval is an octave higher than the alpha state of our brain. When we hear the tones that each bowl produces through its overtones, and the leap between these two, it becomes easier to enter into meditation. Tingshas are also used to clear blockages in a person's vibrational field as well as in an environment.
