FIPS 197 certified and encrypted with XTS-AES 256-bit, the Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50 series USB drives offer enhanced data protection. These high-quality USB drives, available in Type A and Type C, provide enterprise-level security with FIPS 197 certified AES 256-bit hardware encryption in XTS mode, including safeguards against BadUSB through digitally signed firmware and protection against brute-force password attacks. As these are encrypted storage devices under the physical control of the user, the VP50 series offers significantly better data privacy than the internet or cloud services. Vault Privacy 50 supports a multi-password option (Admin, User, and One-Time Recovery) with complex or passphrase modes, making it easier to regain access to data if one of the passwords is forgotten. In the traditional complex mode, passwords can range from 6 to 16 characters using 3 out of 4 character sets.
