Ibanez AZ Essentials is a series for beginner guitarists. Everything from the design of the body and neck to the tuners, bridge, and electronics has been designed for ease of use. The guitar body is comfortably rounded and sits nicely on your lap. The neck has a comfortable C shape, and the fingerboard is slightly rounder than usual, making it very easy to play.

A lot of attention has been paid to the hardware and electronics: the bridge pieces of the AZES guitar are rounded, and the height adjustment screws are embedded in the bridge piece, so your hand rests comfortably on the bridge without any sharp corners. The combination of two single-coil pickups and a humbucker in the bridge is versatile; they can be switched on in many different ways, allowing the guitar to produce a variety of sounds without needing separate effects devices. The switching allows for learning different, even subtler sounds right from the beginning.
