Something that may not stand out at first glance but significantly differentiates it from the regular T486 are the Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P90s. This gives the guitar a completely different sound and character, as with the Phat Cats, the T486 suddenly sounds very fresh and almost twangy, opening up a very cool tone. By the way, these Phat Cat P90s are in the size of a standard humbucker. So if you want to equip the guitar with humbuckers at a later time, you can use neck and bridge pickups.
