The Eastman E-Series / Traditional Series is based on the legendary steel-string guitar from the Golden Era before the war. You will find traditional body shapes such as Dreadnoughts, OMS, OOOs, and OOS exclusively for this series. The E20D-TC marks the beginning of the high-end flat tops of the traditional Eastman series. It features a solid Adirondack spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides, a three-piece mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard, a 25.4-inch scale, and hand-carved, scalloped X-bracing. TC indicates the thermally treated treatment, where the top is baked for accelerated aging of the wood, resulting in a warmer, more complex tone. This also affects the appearance. A thermally treated surface is slightly darker compared to an untreated spruce top. Compared to the obvious D28, the E20D-TC has a bit more brilliance in its sound, which you might perceive as a rich tone in this vintage style. Note the beautiful details, the hard maple binding, the abalone snowflake inlay, the open gear tuning pegs, and the traditional headstock volute. The guitar comes with the original hard case.
