Balcony PV systems, an ecological nonsense

A real balcony PV hype has broken out.... first in Germany (prices there under 1,000 EUR), now also in Switzerland. Everyone believes they can contribute to the electricity shortage and the press doubles down: "if everyone would operate a balcony PV, that would be a considerable amount of electricity production". I did the maths: 11 million balcony PVs would replace an average nuclear power plant if the sun was shining. Sounds good......??? I am a big supporter of alternative energies and therefore invested in a PV system seven years ago. With a limited area and only 18 modules with the then maximum power per panel (345 watts), I theoretically produce 6.2 KWh with my optimal roof orientation, capped at 6 KWh due to the inverter. That is 10 times more than a balcony PV, whereby a balcony mounting is anything but optimal (angle to the sun's rays). I produce an average of 7,150 KW per year, so a balcony PV would produce a maximum of 715 KW, in fact probably less than 600 KW due to the vertical mounting. At an electricity price of 32 centimes high tariff, you save 192 francs per year - after more than 8 years, the investment of a balcony PV is amortised. Well, for many people it's not about money, but about the environment. Wouldn't it be much wiser for micro electricity producers to pay a surcharge in solar electricity so that "the big ones" with a high efficiency in production are promoted? Unfortunately, nobody can see that from the street. Here I recommend a large poster instead of a balcony panel with the inscription: "This household does not produce electricity, but subsidises solar electricity"!

    Selection by size

It would be nice if there were sliders for the selection by width / height instead of the cumbersome selection option for individual values.

    Inexpensive balcony power plants

Dear Digitec/Galaxus, In Germany you can currently get balcony power plants thrown at you, e.g. https://www.otto.de/p... or https://www.tepto.de/Balkonkraf... Unfortunately, it is still hardly economical to import them privately (cable 50.-, VAT approx. 50, transport....). When can you expect corresponding offers for the Swiss market?

    Savings

I would like to be able to power my outdoor inflatable spa with solar power. It consumes 6.6Kwh per day on average. Is there a product that would be suitable for me? I'm not good at math ;)

    mAh

I think it is a bad habit to indicate values in the 1000 range with "milli".... something. 1000mAh is simply 1Ah, 1000 milli simply does not exist in mathematics. Thousand thousandths is simply 1. Marketing back and forth, but at the latest here, when it comes to 100Ah, the mAh values become ridiculous... 100000 mAh. Why do they do this? Why do we have to rape mathematics because of bad marketing? Isn't the education of the current generation of our children already deep enough?

    Storage and trickle charging

Good day! What is the best way to store my Yeti (200x) when it is not in use for a long time? On a charger with trickle charge, like when wintering a car? Or would connecting a solar panel also 'trickle charge' be more or less the same? Thank you!

    Mobile solar panel

I spend a few weeks each summer in an alpine chalet. I would like to be able to charge not only my mobile phone, but also my laptop and a reflex camera. What is the most efficient, light and economical solution?
