What can you recommend?
Hello everyone.
I need a new work laptop, which I can use for sound recordings (Rode microphone available, Audacity programme also) and online courses (create). Would be good if it works fast, has a long battery life and very large storage space. Budget up to 1500,-.
I used to have an Acer laptop, but it no longer works with the necessary Windows 11 update. I would appreciate any detailed tips, as I don't know my way around.

I bought a 14 ZenBook UM3402 a few months ago and am dissatisfied. Unfortunately, I need a new one with a focus on longevity. I'm now confused as to which one I should buy: - ASUS ZenBook 14 OLED, UX3405 - ASUS Zenbook S 14 OLED, UX5406 - ASUS ZenBook 14, UX3406 All about the same price. I don't want the A 14 because of "ARM". Thanks for any tips!
Good morning everyone, I would like to buy a notebook for my upcoming trip to the north, on which I can easily edit 4K raw material. My budget is around 1000-2000Fr. A Macbook is out of the question for me personally, even though the MBPs with their m3/4 should be pretty good.

Asus now supplies its laptops with the Insyde bios. This bios is extremely error-prone and makes it impossible to start the device with a USB stick. Are there any Asus laptops that are supplied with the wonderful conventional bios?
Do you know when more models with this CPU will be on sale?
You can only find 1 model from asus via the filter.
HP still has the HP ZBook Ultra 14 inch G1a mobile workstation PC, but you can only find it by name search as it is not found via the cpu filter.

My son (9 years old) attended a Minecraft holiday course and now wants a laptop on which he can play Minecraft (Java Edition). He already has experience with Minecrfat (Bedrock Edition) on the Nintendo Switch, but not yet on a PC. Which notebook would be suitable? Minecraft should run smoothly and the notebook should still have some reserve, but not be completely overpowered. Thanks for your tips!

Hello,
I would like to replace my 2015 HP Envy laptop, with Windows 10, with a new model.
I need your help on several levels.
I want to use it for office work, photo editing and above all home videos (family, travel, etc.).
What kind of laptop would you recommend?
A good graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 480 ?), 32 or 64 GB of Ram, SSD or HDD hard drive (two 2 to 4 TO) ?
Intel i7 or i9 processor?
With Windows 11 pro or home and Word Office.
Budget: between 1,500 and 2,500 francs.
Are there still laptops with built-in DVD and Blu-ray drives?
And with the option of inserting SD photo/video cards?
Thank you in advance for your advice.
I ordered a Lenovo laptop a few months ago. Unfortunately, the keyboard was defective, so I had to send the device in for repair. After about two months, I never received the laptop back. I was refunded the purchase price, but not the additional guarantee I had paid for.
I paid for both the laptop and the warranty, but only received a partial refund. Very disappointing and frustrating. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the service and hope that Lenovo will finally resolve the issue with the warranty refund.
All my main work will be done on my AMD Windows desktop workstation.
My usage:
1- Tethered semi-pro photo shoots using Capture One Pro/Lightroom
2- Graphic design & 3D (mainly will be done on my desktop).
3- Travel photos, backup and light editing.
4- Usual web browsing, office stuff.
I am torn about which configuration would be ideal for my needs. I don't want to overspend, new Mac Book Pros are apparently on the way in the next few months?
Will be using an external SSD too.

EDIT-Ideally I would have preferred a Windows laptop, but my experience with Windows laptop have been shit (Dell, Asus), so not risking again! Plus battery life, reliability is better on the Macs (so I hear).
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a laptop to take back to school in September. I'm starting a Bachelor's degree in IT and communication systems, with a focus on software computing, and I'm looking for a reliable device that will accompany me throughout my studies.
I want to find the best PC that combines the requirements of my school and my personal preferences.
Here are the criteria I need to meet:
- Operating system: Windows (Macbooks not supported).
- Release year: I'd like a model from 2024 or 2025.
- Processor:
- Intel Core i5, i7, i9 (9th generation or higher)
- Intel Core Ultra 5, 7, 9 (series 1 or higher)
- AMD Ryzen 5/7/9 (series 4XXX or higher)
- RAM memory: 32 GB (16 GB being the minimum requirement).
- Storage: An SSD of 1 TB or more.
- Screen: Around 15.6 inches (14 inches minimum).
- Graphics card: A dedicated card is highly desirable (but not compulsory).
- Battery life: I'm hoping it will last a day of lessons.
- Weight: It should be light enough for everyday use.
- Budget: Ideally under 3000 CHF.
My main use will be software development.
Does anyone have any recommendations for models that match these criteria or any feedback to share?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
Hello together
I'm looking for a notebook with a Windows 11 operating system for my industrial engineering degree. As I only use Apple devices in my private life, I'm reaching my limits when it comes to choosing from the many devices with a Windows operating system - especially when it comes to the different processors (AMD, Intel, etc...).
Basically, I'm looking for a laptop that will be a reliable companion for the next three years. My budget is around 700-1000 CHF. The minimum requirements are 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD. The brand doesn't matter.
It would be nice if the device could run basic programmes smoothly - in the worst case, it should also be able to display a small assembly in a CAD programme.
I don't need a touch function or a flip-down display.
Can anyone recommend a notebook with these criteria or share their own experiences?
Or is there "the" unbeatable price-performance notebook that costs just over CHF 1000? If it is really worth it, I would also be prepared to adjust my budget accordingly.
Many thanks in advance for your tips!
Hello Community
Which notebooks can you recommend that fulfil the following minimum requirements?
- Touchscreen and keyboard
- Active stylus
- Screen size: at least 13 inches
- Processor: Intel i7 or higher
- Operating system: Windows
- Memory: at least 16 GB RAM
- Front camera and microphone
- Interfaces: WLAN, HDMI, USB-C, Bluetooth
I need the device for school, i.e. it should provide good service for at least 4 years.
A great price-performance and satisfaction ratio would be desirable. This as a "budget" specification. :)
Many thanks for any suggestions.
Hello everyone
I'm trying to find a laptop for my mum so that she can "stream" 4K at 60 Hz via HDMI to the 4K TV.
The laptop shouldn't really be able to do anything else. This with Intel i5 10th + Gen or i7 10th+ Gen (10 or higher respectively). Each of these processors can display images and show them via HDMI with 4K resolution. All well and good - now I've read that HDMI 2.0 or higher is required - which most laptops don't have in this price range. Can it be that a laptop has all these things, but fails because of the HDMI?
Why has no filter option for the warranty period been implemented in all these years?
Can anyone give me possible reasons for this?
I am of the opinion that if a manufacturer of a product thinks something of his product or is really convinced of this as the "best product", he can also offer three, four or even 5 years warranty.
Example PrimeComputer who, as far as I know, give a 5 year warranty on EVERY computer WITHOUT me having to pay anything extra for it.
So for many products..........from printers to laptops to computers and digital cameras, I would like to be able to filter ....... according to the "warranty included in the price". I certainly won't buy a laptop with a 24-month warranty, no matter how "good" or "fast" the data. The same goes for a DSLR or its mirrorless counterpart.
What do you think of a "warranty" filter?
I am looking for a laptop apple macbook pro m4 pro with NL qwerty keyboard, I find them on this site and in the short description it says NL and the image (seems stock) shows qwerty, however when I scroll down it says keyboard layout: Germany, which is qwertz? Has anyone bought these laptops yet and do you know if they are qwertz or qwerty laptops? example link: https://www.galaxus.be/nl/s1/product/apple-macbook-pro-14-2024-nano-1420-m4-pro-24-gb-512-gb-nl-notebook-52599141?tagIds=614
