Why was the VESA mount filter category removed from the search?
Can someone please explain to me which genius at Digitec came up with the brilliant idea of removing the 'VESA mount' filter from the monitor search? I seriously wonder what the thought process was here. This filter wasn't just some superfluous gimmick, but an extremely useful feature for anyone who owns a monitor mount or monitor arm. I always used it to display only monitors whose VESA dimensions match my existing mount. That is exactly what filters are for: they are supposed to simplify the search and immediately exclude unsuitable products. And how do you imagine this working now without this filter? Am I supposed to click on every single monitor, scroll through the technical specifications, and look for the VESA dimensions, only to find out that it's not compatible? And with dozens or even hundreds of search results? How is that supposed to be an improvement in user-friendliness? I find it particularly absurd that the VESA standard is not a minor feature. For buyers with an existing mount, it is often a decisive purchasing criterion, just like resolution, screen size, or connections. So there is a clear practical reason why one should be able to filter by it. What exactly was the reason for the removal? Did someone seriously complain that the search offered too many useful filters? Or was a feature simply cut without thinking about the impact it would have on customers? What is really annoying about this is that I already reported this problem to Digitec customer service about ten months ago. Nevertheless, the filter has still not been reintroduced to this day. Ten months! And we are not even talking about developing a completely new feature, but about reintroducing an already existing and extremely practical filter option. What is the point of this, Digitec? Why are you removing useful features and making product searches more cumbersome without any discernible benefit? A good search function should take work off the customer's hands, not create additional work! Please finally reintroduce the 'VESA mount' filter and explain why it was removed in the first place.
