I got this product because i have two other sets from this brand that my kid loves but i am unpleasantly surprised to notice a big difference in quality (and safety) between this set and the classic one!! The red tile in the pic is from this set. The yellow tile is from the classic one. The tiles are assembled differently. You can see the magnet and if you pull the 2 sides of the tile apart, it does not look too safe! For the classic set there is no way you can get to the magnet. The faces of the tiles have a different structure and are combined differently.
The thing is that magna tiles are by far the most expensive on the market and the reason one buys them and pays the extra is simply SAFETY. So this is a big flop to see such sloppy product.
Also when you stack more pieces together in sets of 10 you can see that the height does not add up to the same level.
I also attached below the answer from the company. Disappointing.
