Worth the hype? We've been waiting a long time for this eyeshadow palette

The beauty community had to wait two whole years for it. Now it's finally here: the eyeshadow palette from Morphe Brushes. It's not available anywhere in Switzerland. Our beauty blogger Ana Kondic ordered it from abroad. Is it worth the hype and the expense of sourcing? Ana tested it for you.
When beauty gurus like Jaclyn Hill team up with cosmetics brands to create products together, the expectations of fans and the Community are high. Very high. This is also the case with the "Morphe × Jaclyn Hill" palette. It was announced two years ago. On 21 June 2017, the much-anticipated Morphe eyeshadow palette went on sale at 5 p.m. Swiss time. Shortly beforehand, I dropped everything to open the website so that I could add it to my cart as quickly as possible.
One thing first: Morphe, the brand known for its unbeatable price-performance ratio, has decided to only supply selected countries in Europe. Unfortunately, neither Switzerland, Germany nor Austria belong to this select circle. That's why the range is unfortunately not available at Galaxus either - as much as one would like it to be. That's why I quickly ordered it to Sweden, as I have family and friends there.

As a good friend, I offered to send the palette to my relatives for some bloggers too. So the five of us sat there, each at her own computer, waiting for the go-ahead. Once I had managed to add the palette to my cart, it took ages for the next steps of the checkout to load. The site was definitely overloaded.
I didn't dare to reload the page because I was afraid that the product would no longer be available. So I waited. After a good ten minutes and endless intermediate steps, I received the order confirmation. Three of the five of us had managed to get hold of a palette. Then they were already on sale. Within just fifteen minutes! The palette cost $38, with an additional $30 shipping charge. Is it worth it, you ask? I'll try to answer that here.

When the palette finally arrived safely in Switzerland after a short diversions via Sweden, I was finally able to try it out. With 35 colours, you're pretty well served. The Jaclyn Hill palette has beautiful warm and cool browns, coppery reds and the odd accent colour such as turquoise, blue or purple. The eyeshadows are highly pigmented and leave nothing to be desired. The colours are easy to blend. A direct hit.
The only minus point that bothers me: it doesn't have a matte, light colour. I usually use this as a base before I start my eye make-up. I apply it to the entire lid to make it easier to blend the colourful subsequent shades. Unfortunately, the only light-coloured shades in the palette are those with shimmer. These are definitely not suitable as a base eyeshadow.
I decided to create two different looks. I wanted to show that you really can conjure up a wide variety of creations with this palette. I particularly liked the strong accent colours. You can also use them to spice up simple eye make-up with minimal effort by placing them in the inner corner of the eye, for example.

Conclusion
Is the "Morphe ×Jaclyn Hill" palette worth the hype? For $38, I think the palette is brilliant. Morphe has once again brought a super product to the market. It's a shame that it's not available directly in Switzerland. It is now available via BeautyBay for CHF 49 and can be delivered directly from England to Switzerland.
It's not a palette for everyday use. All in all, however, it is an absolute must-have for every make-up junkie. The bold colours require a little courage and a bit of skill when it comes to blending.
Editor's note: Due to its exclusivity, this palette is not yet available in Switzerland and is therefore not available from us.
