Valentine's Day programme for those with no ideas
Still haven't come up with an idea for Valentine's Day? Here are some original and romantic ideas for putting together your own programme. The advantage: there's no entrance fee to pay or restaurant to book.
This year, Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday. Get there in plenty of time if you don't want to end up at a crowded spa or fancy restaurant. We appreciate you very much and have put together a few ideas to help you. You can use them on their own or combine them... Everything for a successful day!
A homemade candlelit dinner for gourmets
Who would want to go to a restaurant and pay a fortune to eat a special 7-course Valentine's menu? And if she ever says "no" to the eventual request, there won't be any table neighbours to stare at you stupidly.
You need:
With all the utensils you already have in the kitchen, you're well on your way. But you're definitely still missing a little decoration on the table:
An outdoor sports day
If the weather's good, there's nothing to stop you playing sport outside. Nice side effect: you burn the calories you'll take back in the evening at dinner (see "homemade candlelit dinner").
You'll need:
Good sports equipment is essential. Why not offer a day ski pass with a new pair of gloves? Maybe throw in a sports watch with GPS function too so you don't get lost... that would be anything but romantic.
Hang a picnic in the middle of the living room
If a candlelit dinner doesn't appeal, a romantic picnic might do the trick. As the temperatures outside don't allow it yet, we'd advise you to put the picnic blanket right in the middle of your living room.
You'll need:
From the great cinema at home
Put yourself in front of your favourite film, make some popcorn and have a great night out.
You'll need:
In addition to the TV and home cinema set, which you already have, you can buy a few more things.
Spend the day under the duvet
Everything's closed on Sundays anyway. You might as well stay at home, snug under the duvet. You've got it, treat yourself to a new set of bed linen.

The inspiration I get comes from blogs, magazines and travels. My favourite home living styles: Nautical, Scandinavian and Nordic.
