The new, eagerly awaited pieces from the Barbie dream collection are finally here! And I was one of the first to get my hands on the new dream horse and the new dream camper.
You can watch the video to see how the two pieces are taken out of their packaging and tested by us for the first time. I was allowed to take on this task. Although my knowledge of the world of Barbie is limited, I can quickly get enthusiastic about pretty much everything. Only when it comes to window cleaning robots do I reach my limits.
Barbie Camper
The first thing I did was get to work on the dream camper. Unpacked without further ado, I already had this marvellous piece in front of me. It's important to note that the "Super Adventure Camper" comes without any additional Barbie dolls. This means that the existing doll collection has to live in the house on wheels. The camper comes with an enormous amount of small additional parts. From small cups and camping chairs to various dishes for the dolls, everything is included.
The vehicle is equipped with a bathroom, a kitchen, a small living area (where hammocks can be installed) and its own pool including a water slide. At the push of a button, the vehicle can be extended to twice its size, revealing all of its functions.
Barbie horse
In contrast to the dream camper, the packaging of the dream horse also includes a rider. She has riding boots and a riding helmet and is therefore already equipped for various adventures. The packaging also contains a bunch of carrots to feed the horse, as well as a brush for grooming its hair.
The dream horse itself is the special thing here. It has sound sensors! The batteries required for this are already included in the scope of delivery, which is why all functions are available right out of the box. The horse can either walk normally or dance to two different pieces of music. It also changes its walking direction to the left or right, depending on which side you speak to it from.
Conclusion
All in all, both products seem to represent the next level of Barbie products. Until now, at least for me as a Barbie connoisseur, I was not aware of any Barbie products with such sophisticated functions. The "robot" dream horse in particular seems to epitomise the next generation. For fans, these two pieces are definitely a must-have. But even the inexperienced like me can easily spend an hour or two between shock and excitement.
