The «Zelda: Breath of the Wild» of Souls-likes? Let’s Play «Elden Ring»

«Elden Ring» is supposed to be the most accessible and simultaneously hardest game in the «Souls» series. Luca and I will take up the challenge and take a first look at From Software’s latest creation on Friday at 10:00 a.m.
Neither «Demon’s Souls», «Dark Souls» or «Sekiro» are really linear. With «Elden Ring», the iconic development studio From Software is now fully switching to the open-world formula. However, there’s no map cluttered with icons or a quest log that tells you exactly what to do. Nevertheless, «Elden Ring» is supposed to be much more accessible than previous games, which are primarily notorious for their high difficulty level. There are numerous tools such as ghost wolves that can come to your aid in battle. Nevertheless, «Elden Ring» won’t be a walk in the park. Time to strap on your heavy boots, it’ll be a long, hard march.
«Elden Ring» is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X.

Being the game and gadget geek that I am, working at digitec and Galaxus makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop – but it does take its toll on my wallet. I enjoy tinkering with my PC in Tim Taylor fashion and talking about games on my podcast http://www.onemorelevel.ch. To satisfy my need for speed, I get on my full suspension mountain bike and set out to find some nice trails. My thirst for culture is quenched by deep conversations over a couple of cold ones at the mostly frustrating games of FC Winterthur.
