The Analogue Pocket deliberately does not play emulators and ROMs, although it also has a MicroSD slot. It is there to give the classics from the Gameboy era the platform they deserve. As with the Mega Sg, a 1080p upscaled Sega Genesis console, or the Super NT, which plays Super Nintendo games, the girls and boys from Seattle don't want to make old things better, but rather revive them in the most beautiful form possible.

New indie games are also to be added to the Analogue Pocket. Plus, it also has an integrated music synthesiser and sequencer called "Nanoloop" for "music creation and live performance". How cool is that?

The Analogue handheld will be equipped with a 3.5-inch LTPS LCD screen with 1600 × 1440 pixels - ten times the resolution of the original Gameboy - will be charged via USB-C, contain a lithium-ion battery and have a standard headphone jack and stereo speakers.
