The most comfortable fashion trend of the summer
Walking through the city in a bathrobe? The Dolce Vita collection makes it possible. It ensures that you make a fashion statement and stay in your comfort zone - at least when it comes to comfort.
Whether it's jogging bottoms on the street or trainers in the office - thanks to the athleisure fashion trend, we wear comfortable sportswear for every occasion. The trend is not new, but it is particularly topical due to the lockdown. Viennese designer Christina Hrdlicka from the fashion label Kalissi and the traditional Austrian company Vossen prove that things can be even "softer" today. In their summer collection "Dolce Vita", towelling underwear becomes a garment suitable for everyday use.
Freshness on the go
The nine it-pieces made of towelling stand for independence and joie de vivre. They bring lightness to everyday life. With the blazer or towelling hat from the collection, you can take the relaxed feeling of home with you wherever you go. Colleague and rubber-slipper-wearer Luisa Silvestri shows us what this looks like. She regularly demonstrates her sense of style on her own Instagram channel. With her knack for styling, she is the right person to wear the colourful terrycloth underwear in Zurich.

Luisa particularly likes the colour blocking and the comfort of the entire collection. The colours and patterns remind her of pop art à la Roy Lichtenstein. She would most likely wear the comfortable turban to the pool or the lake. However, she is not sure whether she would wear the bathrobe regularly. As the shoot shows: it attracts looks that you sometimes like more, sometimes less.
Melting worlds and dress codes
The terrycloth accessories may seem ridiculous at first with their bright colours, yes. But that's exactly what emphasises the situation we find ourselves in. Our relationship with fashion has changed during the quarantine. When restaurants and offices had to close their doors, those who had the privilege of working from home were able to leave their usual wardrobe in the wardrobe. Comfort took centre stage and dress codes became obsolete.

In lockdown, suit trousers and bras felt unnecessary. Most wore mainly leggings or trainers. Make-up was also superfluous. But it turned into a meditative act for me. Fashion blogger Leandra Medine from Man Repeller reports on similar dressing experiences. She founded the hashtag #goingnowherebutfuckitimgettingdressed to get dressed up again after weeks in isolation. After all, fashion should be fun and be seen for it.

Since the lockdown was eased, many of us have been able to work from home again. But that doesn't mean we have to squeeze into jeans again. I think it's great that these comfortable accessories are breaking new ground in terms of how an office look can be. It will probably take some time and courage for towelling to catch on as a fashion trend. But it is possible. After all, companies have rethought their home office policies in times of lockdown. So why not rethink dress codes too? With this collection, the first step towards independence has definitely been taken.
