The current is finally flowing
Whether it's household appliances or peripherals, everything that comes into my home has to match my idea of aesthetics. When it comes to chargers, there's finally a wireless one that meets my needs.
The Native Union peripherals are nifty. In a previous article, I already praised their technical simplicity. John Brunner and Igor Duc, the two creative minds behind the design, are at it again with their latest charger. "Dock Wireless Charger" cleverly conceals its function and cable behind a magnetic induction disc for powering Qi-compatible smartphones.
First impression

In contrast to conventional laptop charging cables, "Dock Wireless Charger" looks like a sleek sculpture thanks to its shape and fabric. On the old "Drop" charger, you could flat charge Qi-compatible devices up to 10 Watts. On the other hand, the new one allows you to place your mobile phone vertically or horizontally in such a way as to display or read something on the screen. From a distance, for example, I can immediately see who's calling me. And what about the old charger? I take it with me when I travel. If I were to forget it on the way, it wouldn't be a big deal.

What is a Qi mobile phone

"Qi" comes from Chinese and means energy, vital breath. For wireless charging, mobile phones are equipped with the Qi standard, an integrated Qi receiver coil enabling the transmission of inductive energy. Before opting for a Qi wireless charging station, make sure your mobile phone is compatible.
