That little black dress: one dress, two looks

You’d like to wear that littles black dress on several occasions this summer? Our fashion blogger Romana knows exactly how to get the maximum out of one dress – with a minimum of effort.
Summer is the time of vitality and high spirits. It’s no surprise that we feel like expressing these positive feelings in the way we dress. The best way to do this is with light colours and patterns, so we often go for white, pastel shades or flower print. Who’d want to wear black in these warm temperatures? Having said that, we all have the one or the other black piece of clothing that are rather versatile. So why not defy summer conventions and wear that little black dress in a summerly combination?

When you’re choosing a black dress for your summer look, make sure to keep the following points in mind and your look won’t make you feel too hot or look too heavy.
- Go for light fabrics such as cotton or linen.
- Choose a dress with and airy floating fit that doesn’t sit tight.
- Combine your black dress with a few white accessories: a handbag, a chain or a light jacket for instance.
- For a more playful outfit, wear a white shirt underneath a strap dress.

The sporty look
To create a sporty look, simply combine your black dress with a pair of light sneakers. Metallic colours such as silver and gold are very in right now. A suitable accessory would be a trendy handbag or a rucksack.

The elegant look
The same dress can be turned into an elegant evening outfit in no time. To create this look, I combined the slip dress with a summer jacket in antique pink and a matching small handbag. For your night out, simply replace the sneakers with sandals.

With just a few accessories, we created two looks for different occasions using the same little black dress. The best thing is: That little black dress is a classic and allrounder, which you can wear in any season of the year.
