"Starfield" gameplay shown at Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022
Microsoft and Bethesda fired out trailer after trailer at their showcase. Most of the games are scheduled for release in the next twelve months.
Highlight of Microsoft's Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 were the first gameplay scenes of "Starfield". Further, "Forza Motorsport" was announced and Hideo Kojima is working on an Xbox exclusive project. But first things first.
"Redfall"
From the recently postponed co-op shooter there was a gameplay trailer to see. Besides a lot of vampire carnage, there was also a look at the playable characters. Among them, a shapeshifter and a cryptozoologist. It will be released in 2023 for Xbox and PC.
"Hollow Knight: Silksong"
The sequel to "Hollow Knight" was officially announced for Xbox as well. Apart from new pictures, however, there was no further info. An exact release date is also missing. In the game you slip into the role of Hornet instead of the nameless knight, which gives you many new skills.
"High on Life"
The first person shooter comes from the "Rick & Morty" creators. It looks completely wacky - nice. The talking guns shoot creatures, slime balls and burning saw blades. The game is scheduled for release on Xbox in October 2022.
"A Plague Tale: Requiem".
There was a new trailer for the sequel to "A Plague Tale." Unlike the first part, where you had to hide and run away from everything, heroine Amicia can now kill her enemies with a knife. The game is scheduled for release later this year for Xbox, Playstation and PC.
"Forza Motorsport."
Fans of motorsports have been waiting for this for a long time. The next "Forza Motorsport" game is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2023. Graphically, the game looks absolutely brilliant. Ray tracing is also on board.
"Overwatch 2"
"Overwatch 2" is coming as Free to Play in Early Access on October 4. The game features new PVP content, cross-platform gameplay and new heroes as well as maps and modes.
"Ara: History Untold"
From the makers of "Ashes of the Singularity" comes a new turn-based strategy game. It focuses on alternate world history. So you'll come across steampunk cities, snow-covered pyramids and things like that. The game will be released for PC. When exactly, however, is not known.
"Ark 2"
Vin Diesel as a dinosaur rider. That's what you can see in the new trailer for "Ark 2". The actor not only provides his body for the game, he also serves as executive producer. The survival game is scheduled to be the first to be released for Xbox in 2023.
"Scorn."
The horror shooter will finally be released on October 21, exclusively for Xbox. The game was announced back in 2016. In the game, you awaken in an abandoned, broken hellworld.
"Flintlock: The Siege Of Dawn Revealed."
New gameplay was shown of the open world RPG. Armed with axe and gun, you fight against humans, skeletons and all sorts of creatures. Along for the ride is your animal companion, which supports you in battles and which you can also ride through the air. The game will be released in 2023 for consoles and PC.
"Minecraft Legends"
The action strategy game is a spin-off of the sandbox franchise "Minecraft Legends". In the game, you are supposed to protect the Overworld from the Piglins. The game will be released in 2023 for Xbox and PC.
"Lightyear Frontier"
In the open-world farming adventure Lightyear Frontier, you'll grow alien plants, build your own farm and explore the wilderness. It looks like "Stardew Valley" with robots. The game will be released in 2023 for Xbox and PC.
"The Last Case of Benedict Fox."
You're into H.P. Lovecraft and Metroidvania gameplay? Then "The Last Case of Benedict Fox" might be something for you. As Benedict Fox, you'll investigate the demise of a family in a haunted mansion. The game will be released in the spring of 2023.
"Pentiment"
Role-playing game developer Obsidian brings a narrative crime thriller set in 16th century Upper Bavaria. The action takes place on the pages of a book corresponding to the era. The main character is the artist Andreas Maler, who becomes involved in a murder case while studying in an abbey. Looks exciting and will be released in November on Xbox and PC.
"Ereban: Shadow Legacy"
In "Ereban: Shadow Legacy," you play as Ayana, the last survivor of a species that can merge with shadows. The stealth platformer is the first game from indie studio Baby Root Games. It will be released sometime in 2023.
"Diablo IV"
In 2023, the fourth part of the dungeon crawler action role-playing game will finally be released. You can see the Necromancer in one trailer and new gameplay in another. The game will be released for PC, Playstation and Xbox.
"Ravenlok"
In "Ravenlok", the eponymous girl falls through a magic mirror and finds herself in a land ruled by the corrupt Caterpillar Queen. In the pixel world she fights with sword and shield against all sorts of mythical creatures. The game will be released in 2023 for Xbox and PC.
"Cocoon"
The puzzle platformer comes from Jeppe Carlsen, the gameplay designer of "Limbo" and "Inside." As a fly person, you carry glowing orbs around. Looks nice and will be released for Xbox in 2023.
"Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty"
Team Ninja's new project will be released in 2023 for PC and Xbox. The game is set in the Han Dynasty - or at least a demon-infested version of it. As a nameless warrior, you slaughter your opponents.
Kojima and "Starfield"
Phil Spencer, CEO of Xbox Game Studios, announced a special partnership with Hideo Kojima. The is developing a new game for Xbox that uses the company's cloud technology. However, nothing more is known at this time. It's supposed to be a completely new game that no one has ever experienced before.
Last but not least, there was a longer gameplay trailer of "Starfield", which will be released exclusively for Xbox and PC.
