Sophistication incarnate: furniture with storage compartments
I regularly present a selection of clever designer furniture straight from our range. In the spotlight today? Storage surfaces and spaces.
Whether you're a neat freak or a studio flat renter, a piece of furniture that fulfils two functions is always appreciated. Personally, I belong to the first group, because I've recently started living on my own and have enough space to myself. Nevertheless, I don't like things lying around, so I keep them in compartments and drawers. But even before that, when I was a flatmate, I appreciated two-in-one objects, as they saved space in my eleven square metre bedroom. Do you also need to free up space? No problem! Take a look below, I've prepared a few examples from our Galaxus range.
Low tables
Settee ends or bedside tables generally offer just one storage option, the top tray. However, there are also models with several superimposed surfaces or even a drawer. This is the case with the "Turning Table" from Menu, for example. Under its pivoting top, it conceals a compartment for tissues or the remote control. The "Lesestelle" from Tojo, perfectly suited to stacks of books, will incorporate a reading corner.

Shelves
Models such as the "Wallie" wall shelf by Woud or "Mondrian" by Cinas have drawers to store the little things you don't know where to put. "Cage" from Menu has nothing to do with it and yet, behind its bars, it can hold scarves or magazines, which is handy in an entrance hall or living room.

Benches
Benches generally find their place in dining rooms or entrances. Sometimes, some contain extra storage space under the seat for shoes and other everyday accessories. Furniture such as "Northgate" by Woodman fulfils two functions: order and comfort.

Mirrors
Although people of my generation use social networks for their delusions, for me, mirrors aren't just for combing your hair or taking selfies. And models such as "Room" by House Doctor or "Round" by Normann Copenhagen, incorporating a small shelf for glasses and lipstick at their base - to enhance the selfie -, are there to prove it.
