Pedicures made easy - Let the sandal summer begin!

Summer is sandal time. Chic footwear looks best on well-groomed feet. You should think about looking after your feet at the latest before the first walk in open shoes. Give your feet an extra portion of attention now, also for the sake of those around you!
Preparation bath
Every pedicure starts with a foot bath. This is not only wonderfully relaxing, but also optimally prepares the skin and nails for the subsequent treatment. Problem areas such as calloused, chapped skin or thick, unyielding nails are softened with it .

Tip: easy homemade bath additive:
Add three tablespoons of sea salt and a cup of olive oil to the water. The oil and salt mix makes the skin supple and receptive to subsequent care.
Adieu calluses!
After the foot bath, you should remove any excess calluses and cracks. Be careful and never remove too much skin at once.
(Con)shape your nails
When cutting toenails, it is best to use nail scissors with a rounded tip or nail clippers. This will prevent you from injuring yourself. The edge of the nail should be flush with the tip of the toe to prevent pressure points or ingrown toenails in the shoe. Never cut the nail too short. This can easily lead to inflammation. A good pedicure does not end with cutting the nails. Then work on your toenails with a file. It is best to file in the direction of growth. This protects the sensitive nail fibres and you can also seal the cut edges.
Pampering at the end
To keep your feet supple and well-groomed, you should moisturise them regularly. Nourish your feet richly at the end of the pedicure. Body lotions or body creams are just as suitable for this as special foot creams.
Beautifully polished!
Whether or not you embellish your toenails with nail polish is up to you. But even a simple coat of clear nail varnish will instantly make your feet look more groomed. If you want to go for colour, classic red is always a good choice. Striplac from Alessandro lasts particularly long on the nails, which is great for the feet.
