One after the other

Serum, toner, cleanser, cream - or was it the other way round? Many products cause a lot of confusion. I'll explain the order in which skincare makes sense to me.

Morning routine

The toner is followed by the serum. Serums usually have a very light, fluid texture that is quickly absorbed by the skin. Their (active) ingredients should penetrate the skin more easily and deeper than those in a cream due to their small molecular size. Just a few drops are enough.

Finally comes the day care. It moisturises the skin during the day and should always have a sun protection factor of 30 to protect against premature skin ageing. You can also just use a sun cream or sun gel. Do you already have a day cream but without SPF? Then mix in some sun protection gel or enough SPF drops.

If you have the time and inclination, you can also integrate a face roller into your skincare ritual. This also has the following benefits:

Evening routine

Then toner and serum again. Finally, a night cream or mask or oil is used. To avoid any confusion: there is no difference between a night cream and a night mask. The latter is simply a hip new name for a rich night cream. The term mask incorrectly implies that the applied product is removed from the skin after a while.

Extraordinary

And if all this is too much for you, there's always coconut oil.🤗

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
