Now available: PCL 6 patio cleaner from Kärcher

The PCL 6 uses four brush rollers for mechanical cleaning of patios or balconies. With the height-adjustable style, you should be able to get the floor covering clean again without back pain and scrubbing.

Pollen, green deposits, moss and caked-on dirt build up on floorboards and in the joints of your patio. Sweeping alone is then usually pointless. The Kärcher PCL 6 is positioned as an alternative to scrubbing with a scrubbing brush.

The PCL 6 is not a high-pressure cleaner. Kärcher offers it as a low-pressure device with a maximum pressure of ten bar. Cleaning is achieved primarily by four counter-rotating brush rollers. Two nozzles apply water directly to the surface. The amount of water is adjusted via a valve.

The brushes do the work

The PCL 6 cleans wooden and WPC decking and balcony surfaces with the four brush rollers supplied. For smooth and fine-pored stone tiles or stone slabs in outdoor areas, you need separately available stone rollers. The brushes are changed using a quick-connect fastener.

However, these rollers are not suitable for concrete slabs or similarly rough surfaces. The resistance is too high and the cleaning performance too low. A high-pressure cleaner is the more suitable choice for such surfaces, with a surface cleaner for larger areas if necessary.

The appliance is connected to a garden hose and works with a cable. The motor drives the rollers and the water loosens the dirt. The brushes work the surface mechanically, while a splash guard limits the distribution of water and dirt. The dirty water is not collected. On balconies, you therefore need to clarify in advance where it will run off to or whether you need to collect it. The housing also allows you to work close to the edge. The working width is 30 centimetres.

Simple technology, clear purpose

The rollers rotate at 600 to 800 revolutions per minute, while the PCL 6 consumes 0.3 kilowatts of power. Water consumption is a maximum of 180 litres per hour at a water pressure of four bar. Without accessories, the appliance weighs 4.5 kilograms. The dimensions are 34.7 × 30.7 × 131.4 centimetres.

The adjustable handle enables upright working. The angle can be infinitely adjusted, for example on edges, under railings or for people of different heights.
