The W2 washing machine and the T2 heat pump dryer from Miele's Nova Edition aim to set new standards in gentle textile care with innovative technologies. You can now find the appliances in our shop.

The two new Nova Edition appliances from Miele are designed to last 20 years and are set to impress with many new functions. Let me introduce you to the two machines.

W2 Nova Edition with ribless drum

The W2 Nova model uses the gentle drum «InfinityCare». According to Miele, this is the world's first ribless washing drum, which is said to be particularly gentle on the laundry. The usual ribs in washing machine and tumble dryer drums turn the laundry over. In the long run, this mechanical stress is not good for the fibres.

With a capacity of nine kilograms, the machine offers space for larger quantities of laundry. Miele has also integrated two new features into the washing programmes.

New wash programmes

With «QuickPowerWash», you can put your laundry in the tumble dryer or hang it up after just 49 minutes. And according to the manufacturer, «SmartMatic» automatically adjusts the amount of water, washing time and temperatures to the amount of laundry. This should ensure a constant cleaning performance for loads between one and four kilograms.

Optionally, you can use the dosing system «TwinDos» with the W2. A new feature of the W2 is automatic detection of the cartridges to adjust the detergent dosage.

Comfort functions

With dimensions of 59.6 × 64.3 x 85 centimetres, the washing machine fits into standard built-in niches. The design of the door is colour-coordinated with the control panel. The colour touch display is integrated into it. Via «Motion React», the machine recognises when you approach the machine and switches the appliance on.

Another extra of the machine with efficiency class A+++ (2020 scheme) is the motor drive for the door. This opens when you touch the handle area.

T2 Nova Edition can also dry wool

The T2 heat pump dryer uses the same design elements as the washing machine. The capacity, dimensions and energy efficiency class are also identical.

One of the main innovations: You can also put woollen clothes in the T2. According to Miele, the programme «WollDry» prevents shrinkage or felting. Because the drum rotates at a particularly high speed, the woollen textiles lie particularly close to the drum wall, which enables gentle drying.

In addition, a technology called «Silent Drum» ensures that you hear less annoying noises from zips or buttons during the drying process.

Steam and quick dry

Miele is highlighting three new programmes in particular:

  • «SteamCare» is a steam system that you can optionally add to many programmes or select separately. This is designed to neutralise odours lingering in your clothes
  • «Quick Power Dry» is designed to dry four kilograms of laundry in just 49 minutes.
  • «QuickHygiene» is said to effectively remove bacteria, viruses and mites

The T2 uses the optional «FragenceDOS system», which is designed to ensure freshly scented laundry.

The dryer offers you the same convenient functions as the washing machine. From the touch display, which is activated when you approach it, to the motorised appliance door.
