New arrival: vertical garden from Farmii

With Farmii, you can even grow lettuce and herbs in the city. You don't need a garden or balcony.

Farmii is a vertical, hydroponic garden: a cultivation system that works completely without soil. Instead of soil, the plants are rooted in a biodegradable medium and are fed via a circulating nutrient solution. The growing media are sponges made from organic raw materials such as maize and sugar.

It couldn't be fresher or more sustainable: if you grow your own herbs or lettuce with Farmii, you only harvest directly before eating. And only as much as you actually need.

According to the manufacturer, the plants receive exactly the nutrients they need. As a result, they should grow faster and more evenly than in conventional cultivation and also use less water.

The centrepiece of the set is a rotating plant tower with LED lighting. The rotation ensures even light. You are free to choose the location: Kitchen, living room, balcony or terrace. Visually, the tower is barely reminiscent of a greenhouse.

Everything you need to get started

The Swiss company Frugaltec, which is behind Farmii, has put together everything you need: the mini-greenhouse, growing media, seeds and water quality measuring devices. The product promise: Even without «green fingers» everything should grow perfectly.
