Mother's Day: what Galaxus employees are giving their mothers
After months of research, we can finally present them to you: the best gift ideas for the most important gift day of the year (before Christmas and before birthdays): Mother's Day on 14.5.2017! It goes without saying that the best Mother's Day gifts are those we give to our own mothers! So we'll show you which gifts Galaxus employees are going to spoil their mums with. Copying is allowed!
Theresa - travel travel
Because Theresa's mum loves travelling, she'll be getting a card where she can scratch off every place she's ever been to. We hope mother and daughter can still spend Mother's Day together. Because what if, after receiving the card, she scratches everything off, gets the wanderlust and takes off? We hope all goes well, as we don't yet have a Switzerland "scratch card" in our range.

Irene - word for word
About travel: Irene's mum is getting a travel Scrabble. So she can play wherever she likes. Although this gift went perfectly with Teresa's scratch card, it's not part of the gift. In return, Irene's mum will receive a voucher for "Playing Scrabble with your daughter for a whole afternoon". Irene's mum will certainly be delighted.
Madeleine - lasting and ephemeral gifts
Madeleine is banking on a Mother's Day classic: flowers. "Can't go wrong, can we?" she mused. Well, maybe the fact that her mum has to take care of the flowers herself first before she can rejoice? But that shouldn't be a problem for Madeleine's mum, she has a green thumb and much prefers living plants to 'dead' ones.
If the beautiful flower bed in your neighbour's garden comes to mind and you'd rather give your mum a slightly less long-lasting, but above all 'handmade' gift anyway, then we've got the equipment:
Pia - a gift for eternity
Pia has devised a particularly cunning combination of gifts. As well as an excursion, her mother receives various photo frames with snapshots found on memory cards she thought she'd lost long ago. The great thing about this gift is that the photos taken during the excursion can be used for Mother's Day in five or ten years' time. If the gift is renewed every year, you could say she's found the perpetual gift for Mother's Day.
Thomas - not entirely selfless
This year, Thomas started early to look for a gift for Mother's Day and over the past few months has been able to sample almost the entire Lindt praline range. Because he only wants the best for his mum. Of course, during his "tasting marathon", his work colleagues, as confirmed gourmets and epicureans, rid him of anything containing more than 60g of sugar per 100g. That's why malicious tongues will say that his gift wasn't made by chance. It's even said that his mum doesn't like chocolate. We're curious to see where these pralines will finally end up.
Sina and Tanja - with less we can do more
While we were discussing Mother's Day gifts for this year, Sina and Tanja almost had a catfight. They had exactly the same idea! Both had the best intentions in the world with their mums this year and so decided not to get them anything. Their credo is: "Mother's Day is every day". That's why their mums don't get anything on Mother's Day, but receive small and large gifts throughout the year. Conclusion: you can therefore, without a guilty conscience, also give the above gifts to your mums, even when it's not Mother's Day.
What about me? I don't yet know what I'm going to give my mum for this special day. I really liked Sina and Tanja's gift idea, so I think there's a good chance I won't be getting my mum anything.
What about me?
Or do you have a better idea? What do you give your mothers?
