Lego Inside Tour: A unique look behind the scenes
Are you a Lego fan through and through? Then the Lego Inside Tour is just the thing for you. For three days, you will spend the ultimate Lego experience in Billund, Denmark. You will look over the shoulders of the professionals in the factory, experience history in the house of the Lego founder and receive an exclusive Lego set as the icing on the cake.
The adventure begins in the Lego House, also known as the "Home of the Brick". This is where your journey into the world of Lego begins. You will meet the creative minds behind the bricks and learn first-hand how the iconic toys are designed. At the building event, you can create your own masterpiece and perhaps learn a trick or two from the set designers.
Another highlight is the guided tour of the Lego factory. Here you can see how the famous building blocks are made. But what would a visit to Lego be without a detour into history? In the house of Ole Kirk Kristiansen, the founder of Lego, you can immerse yourself in the beginnings of the company. You walk through the rooms where toy history was made and learn how a small Danish carpentry workshop became a global phenomenon.
To top it all off, you will receive an exclusive Lego set as a memento of this unique experience. A gift that has been produced in very limited numbers and is only available to tour participants. So you have a unique souvenir that will always remind you of the Inside Tour.

Costs and registration
The Lego Inside Tour is unfortunately not a bargain. The whole thing will cost you 22,000 Danish kroner, which is the equivalent of just under 2850 Swiss francs. Included are three nights in the Legoland Hotel, all meals, drinks and snacks. The tour also includes an annual pass for the Lego House and tickets for Legoland Billund. You must organise your own travel to and from the hotel.
In 2020, Lego is offering eight different tour dates. You can find out exactly when these are on the Inside Tour website. You can also use this link to register for the tour between 16 and 19 October 2023. Although "register" is the wrong word: it's more of an application process. The places are highly coveted and demand is very high despite the expensive costs. Registration is therefore no guarantee of participation. You also need a bit of luck for Lego to select you for the Inside Tour.
