I’ve found the perfect slippers for cold days
I’ve been looking for shoes to wear at home that keep me really warm, are comfortable and look nice and cosy. I found what I was looking for at Crocs, of all places.
I’m one of those people who always have cold feet in winter, even at home. Unfortunate, yes – but nothing a good, warm pair of slippers can’t fix. I hope the Classic Unfurgettable Clog from Crocs will fulfil this brief this year.
I only recently found out you can get fluffy clogs from Crocs. But in recent years, the brand has really levelled up its range of shoes for wearing around the house. This year, its Cozzzy style even made it onto Google’s Holiday 100 list, a gift guide based on the most searched for products of the year.
The newer Unfurgettable model is designed to go one better, combining the comfort of slippers with the street-ready qualities of the Classic Lined Clog – i.e. regular Crocs with an inner lining. So, in theory, it offers the best of both worlds, but will these shoes stand up to practical use?

First impressions
I opted for the Vegan Suede version of the Unfurgettable. It’s made from a suede-look upper, is luxuriously lined with faux fur and looks a lot more chic than regular plastic Crocs. You can’t attach Jibbitz charms to the top of the shoe, but you can discreetly add them to the backstrap.
When I slip them on, the soft inner lining immediately envelops my feet. My feet feel snugly cradled and literally sink in, as if I were walking on small, warm clouds. Even the most sensitive feet no longer run the risk of freezing with this fluffy protective cover.

The collar and backstrap are also faux fur, so they not only feel cosy, but look cosy too. The firm outsole gives the Unfurgettable more structure, and makes it appear much more premium than the Cozzzy with its soft fabric sole. I’ve only tried them on once, and I’m already won over.
Findings from everyday use
Personally, I’d never walk around my apartment in street shoes, so I don’t really benefit from the versatility of the Croslite sole. It still proves to be extremely practical while going about my day. It’s easy to clean and feels very stable when walking. Especially when I’m working from home, it helps to have something on my feet that feels like a real shoe but remains pleasantly light.

The backstrap allows me to adjust the feel to suit my mood: when it’s worn at the back, the shoe offers more support and the foot feels snugly enclosed. When it’s at the front, the Unfurgettable becomes a simple clog. Perfect for quickly slipping on.
At first, the shoe appears to be cut tighter than usual, probably due to the generous inner lining. But after a few days, the faux fur settles a little, creating a little more space. I’m usually between a size 38 and 39 in shoes – and the 38–39 fits me perfectly in this model.
The real test – the washing machine
After two weeks with the Unfurgettable, I’ve yet to find something I don’t like. I’m completely satisfied, you could almost say slightly in love. But for all my enthusiasm, I’ve one unbreakable rule: a slipper is only as good as its washability. So I put this promising candidate in the washing machine for a short gentle wash cycle, accompanied by cautious optimism. But lo and behold, it survives the experiment without any ill effects, and air-dries afterwards without any issues.
