iCloth Pro Late 2021: the forgotten star of the Apple lineup

AirPods and MacBooks have captivated the world. But when Apple introduces a truly innovative product, even CEO Tim Cook keeps silent. Fortunately, eagle-eyed fanboys have uncovered Apple’s best-kept secret: the new Apple Polishing Cloth.

The MacBooks and AirPods can pack up and leave. Apple has released the one product we’ve all been waiting for. The rumour mill was silent on the innovative invention, so it came as the biggest surprise of last night. The fact that Apple CEO Tim Cook made absolutely no mention of the iCloth Pro Late 2021 Edition is disappointing.

Fortunately, the polishing cloth appeared just in time on Apple’s website. «Made with soft, non-abrasive material, the Polishing Cloth cleans any Apple display, including nano-texture glass, safely and effectively,» Apple writes. The microfibre cloth sells for 19 francs. That’s cheaper than abroad. There, it goes for 25 euros.

Please note: the iCloth Pro Late 2021 is not compatible with all Apple devices. To make things easier, the manufacturer has published a compatibility list. Since backwards compatibility and long-term support are important to Apple, the list is a long one. Listing the devices that cannot be cleaned gently and thoroughly with the iCloth Pro Late 2021 is an easier feat:

  • all iPhones older than the iPhone 6
  • all iPads older than the first-generation iPad Mini
  • all MacBooks and iMacs older than 2017
  • all iPods older than the fourth-generation iPod Shuffle

The iCloth Pro Late 2021 is compatible with all Apple Watches and all devices with a Pro Display XDR. It is not known whether the polishing cloth is compatible with Android devices or Windows PC displays.

Hopefully, the iCloth Pro won’t be affected by supply bottlenecks. Of course, we’re staying on top of this highly charged story.
