How to keep up your jogging training in the winter months
Jogging and running are great ways of keeping fit. However, many of us don’t keep up our running training when the temperatures start sinking. Don’t miss out on your winter training; with the right equipment, running in cold temperatures is no problem at all and even strengthens the immune system.
It might be cold outside, but that’s no excuse for skipping your running training. Wear warm sports clothing, make sure you can be seen in the dark and you can keep up your training throughout the winter months.
Reflective gear
Reflectors are the easiest way to increase visibility, as you don’t need to carry anything with you. Just place a band on your arm and leg or wear a reflective vest and oncoming vehicles will know you’re there.
Headlamps
LED headlamps also increase your visibility when you’re jogging or running in the dark. They’re also great to light the path you’re on and make you run slower and safer, avoiding falls or collisions.
New products
Do you have cold ears as soon as the temperatures drop? If so, a hat or a headband is what you need. These versions with integrated LED light keep your ears warm and make you visible at the same time.
